Two founders, one port.
sealevel is Lasse and Julian, two founders from the same small town near Kiel, building the onboard majordomo for cruise lines. Neither of us comes from cruise; we come from engineering and finance, and we think that outside view helps. Onboard, the guest experience is everything, yet the reason behind each yes usually goes unrecorded. That gap is what we are here to close.
Lasse leads product and engineering, and invented the technology at the core of the sealevel.suite. Behind him are years as a self-employed IT consultant with a broad, hands-on command of both software and hardware, and a background in engineering and IT (IuE) at the HAW in Kiel, including research-project work. He builds the thing, and he can explain exactly why it does what it does.
Julian runs the business: finance, structure, and the commercial conversations that turn a pilot into a partnership. He studied finance and worked as a management consultant for large enterprise clients before sealevel. He keeps the company grounded in real numbers and ready for the room.
Lasse and Julian grew up in the same village near Kiel: same year, same school, always on good terms, but never close. One played handball, the other tennis, with little overlap in between. Years later life brought them back together, and a conversation about an idea did the rest.
Northern calm, not idle.
We are Northern-German in the best sense: relaxed and level-headed, without being lazy. When a problem turns up, we do not panic. We accept that it is ours to solve, and we get on with it. Quiet, deliberate, and hard to rattle.
See it on your sailing.
